Welcome

Baby Nurse USA is a division of Nanny's USA (www.nannysusa.com), servicing all of New York, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut as well as Dutchess County, Rockland County, Putnam County and Orange and Westchester Counties. We are recognized, within the In-home Childcare industry, for our signature services of expertly qualified Baby Nurses/Doulas and Newborn Care Specialists.

Since no two babies are alike, we specifically match first-time, second- or third-time (and so on) parents with Baby Nurses who possess the best skill-sets to gently guide the children in their charge towards a feeding and sleeping schedule, and to educate the parents along these lines. This provides much-needed nightly sleep and comfort for the parents, following the Baby Nurse's departure.

Baby Nurse USA has partnered with the first and only recognized Nanny School licensed in New York State using approved state-of-the-art training and techniques. This training is implemented by our Baby Nurses/Doulas, also known as Newborn Care Specialists, and will be of benefit whether you are expecting a single newborn, twins, triplets or quadruplets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Our Baby Nurses/Newborn Care Specialists will help assist with lactation; with guiding the newborn(s) towards a sleep schedule so families may get the comfort and sleep they need; with sterilization and bottle preparation; with umbilical care; with diapering and circumcision care; and with swaddling, burping and sponge and tub bathing.

Many of our Baby Nurses/Newborn Care Specialists are trained in Prenatal and Postnatal Infant Massage; are certified Doulas (Labor and Postpartum); are certified Lamaze Instructors and are certified CPR-trained. Additionally, unlike infant specialists sent out from other agencies, our Baby Nurses can assist and educate mom prior to the birth of her newborn(s).

In order to provide professional excellence to newborn(s)--again unlike other Agencies--we only suggest 24-hour Live-in care if the Baby Nurse obtains 8 hours of sleep or is on a 24-hour split shift.  We highly recommend 10-12 hour shifts.  Baby Nurses will usually stay with a family for a minimum of two weeks and for up to a 6-month period.

Getting Started/the Process:

We suggest that you reserve your Baby Nurse/Newborn Care Specialist at least two to three months in advance. The process is a simple one and is as follows:

  1. You are required to complete a Questionnaire and Employer and Agency Agreement.
  2. Upon completion and receipt of these documents by our personnel, we will line up candidates for you to interview in person.
  3. Once a Baby Nurse has accepted the position, she is reserved for your family.
  4. The Agency fees will be due at that time. No upfront registration, deposit or application fee is required.  Contact Us for Baby Nurse rates.
